About Us

DressageThe Tweed Valley Equestrian Group was founded in 1972 by a group of horse enthusiasts.  It is a volunteer community group affiliated with Equestrian Australia (EA) QLD branch.

The group is made up of Dressage and Jumping enthusiasts – we are always looking for new members who would like to run different competitions.

All the events are held at the Murwillumbah showground which has good stables and yards plus ample room for young horses to work without any pressure. At the start of the year we try and hold a Fun Gymkhana with hack classes and then sporting events.  It gives all age groups a chance to go and have some fun.

Associate days are open to TVEG members and EA registered riders. These days generally attract riders from surrounding clubs and riders who wish to compete but not under pressure of official events.

Official Days are open to all EA registered riders.  These days attract a higher level of competitors and a higher standard of horses.  Competitors come from Southern QLD and Northern NSW to the Mid North Coast of NSW.  These events give riders the opportunity to obtain grading points and qualifying percentages to go onto State and National competitions.

October is home to the famous “Power of Pink Dressage”, an event that grows bigger every year.Last years event raised over $15000.00 for Breast Cancer Research. This event is run over 2 days with Show Jumping, Official and Associate dressage.
